According to the German Minister of the Environment, deforestation accounts for 25% of the pollution that is accelerating climate change. For this reason, Media Cologne recommends to its clients environmentally-friendly printing on certified paper which is proven to come from sustainable forestry. To this end, we submit ourselves to regular inspections by the rigorous environmental certification bodies FSC and PEFC.
The Blue Angel is a German certification for products and services that are environmentally-friendly and low in emissions. It is the most renowned ecolabel and is, of course, one of our standards.
The quality of the production, from data acquisition to the finished printed product, can be secured by the Process Standard Offset. The objective is to organise the production process, which nowadays frequently involves a division of labour, as efficiently as possible, and, at the same time, to ensure that the interim and final results show a predictable colour quality.
Through a certified calculation module, we can show CO2 emissions and offer our clients the certificate "Print CO2 tested" We guarantee the complete certification of the production chain.

Paper with the FSC certificate guarantees that certified wood goes through all the processing procedures correctly, is not mixed with raw materials from contentious sources, and comes from a certified and responsibly managed forestry operation.
The certificate is an initiative of the private forestry and timber industry and pursues the strengthening and improvement of the image of forestry and wood products. If paper produced from fresh fibres is processed, the raw materials for this should come from sustainably managed forests! It must be possible to trace the origin of the raw materials.
Through a certified calculation module, Media Cologne can show its CO2 emissions and offer clients the "Print CO2 tested certificate". Furthermore, we can participate in certified climate protection projects and, as a result, create a CO2 balance.
